Bearing Steel

Grade 52100 (GCr15 / SUJ2)

Grade 52100, also known as GCr15 (Chinese standard) or SUJ2 (Japanese standard), is the most widely produced bearing steel globally. This high-carbon chromium steel offers exceptional hardness and wear resistance, making it ideal for precision bearing applications.

Key Features

  • High hardness - Excellent wear resistance
  • Superior fatigue resistance - Long service life
  • Good dimensional stability - Maintains precision
  • Excellent hardenability - Uniform hardness distribution
  • High compressive strength
  • Good machinability in annealed condition

Applications

  • Ball bearings and rollers
  • Bearing rings (inner and outer races)
  • Precision bearing components
  • High-speed bearing applications
  • Automotive bearings
  • Industrial machinery bearings
